Struggled in C&D jumping debut recently and will have it all on to get close in this race.
Prominently ridden on jumps debut over this trip at Limerick in early December, faded away but entitled to be better seen for that effort.
Mid-division over C&D last month on hurdles debut, bumper form suggests he might improve for that run now.
Was sent off 66/1 on jumps debut at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and didn't get past the second obstacle having blundered his rider to the deck.
Beaten a long way on both starts over timber, both coming at two-miles. Upped in trip here, tough to imagine it'll bring necessary improvement.
Won a Punchestown bumper over two-miles in November but has subsequently toiled in both starts over flights.
Good run to be third on jumping debut at Listowel in September over this sort of trip, not as effective over shorter in one run since but step up in trip is a positive.
Bitterly disappointing sole run under rules in April when trailing home in Punchestown bumper. Pulled up in pair of point-to-points since, first run for this trainer now.
Under the pump a long way out in Thurles bumper over two-miles in December, pulled up 3f from home, makes jumping debut now.
Was a 100/1 chance for hurdles bow at Leopardstown over Christmas, far from disgraced and could do better.
Well-bred gelding didn't show much in Fairyhouse bumper last month. Travelled prominently but backed out of it quickly.
Experienced Flat runner won couple of modest races last summer, joined this trainer and off since September ahead of first jumping test.
Getting there slowly but surely over hurdles, twice runner-up in four starts and sets the benchmark on those efforts.
First run for new yard, showed some potential in Roscommon bumper behind Blood Crazed Tiger at this sort of trip in May. Needs to prove fitness.
Has won a point-to-point but efforts under rules have been underwhelming, beaten a long way in two-mile maiden hurdle at Navan in September 2015.
Fell on his only start over hurdles in France, since switched to powerful trainer in this country. Promising prospect but hasn't run for 272 days and appears to be stable second string.
Second runner for yard in this race, has shown good degree of promise in two starts under rules. Third of 30 in two-mile hurdle at Navan in November, upped in trip having filled same position in a bumper since.
Mountain High gelding makes his first appearance on the track and doesn't hold any apparently promising claims.
Struggled over C&D a fortnight ago, could be the type to do better based on previous efforts.
Good second at Leopardstown over Christmas bodes well in this context, fourth home scored in decisive fashion at Clonmel earlier this month.
Just the one run over hurdles, perfectly acceptable fifth of 21 over two-miles at Punchestown last month, will need more for this with step up in trip but could improve.
Just the one previous start for this yard, struggling over this trip at Fairyhouse in November, more required.
Just one previous outing in a bumper at Cork in July, set to have a minor role on jumps debut.
Hurdling debutant has made some minor progress in five bumper starts, needs to come forward significantly to get involved at the business end.
Forecasts
Midnight Escape (15/8), Youcannotbeserious (9/4), Tamlough Boy (11/4), Cracking Smart (14/1), Clara Sorrento (20/1), Pacte In The Park (22/1), Kaiser Black (33/1), Jimmy Breekie (33/1), Young Bidder (33/1), Wood Emery (50/1), At Rainbow's End (66/1), Two In One (66/1), West Of Milan (66/1), Cappacon (66/1), Psychedelic Rock (80/1), Drakaina (80/1), Romantic (80/1), Kildaven Spider (100/1), No Pressure Pat (100/1), Fish A Wish (100/1), Loughview Laddie (100/1), Oskar High (100/1), Graineyhill (100/1), Harvey Wallbanger (100/1)
YOUCANNOTBESERIOUS was a good second at Leopardstown over Christmas behind a promising sort. The fourth home, Ask Nile, scored nicely at Clonmel recently and that form looks good enough to get him home now. Midnight Escape is one of two for Gordon Elliott and he's already run with promise in a big field over hurdles so is respected. French import Cracking Smart is worth a check in the betting, despite his lack of match fitness. Tamlough Boy sets the benchmark having been runner-up twice in four starts over timber and should once more be there at the finish but many of the others have a lot to prove.
1. Youcannotbeserious
2. Midnight Escape
3. Tamlough Boy
