A winner for Charlie Mann back in 2015 but not shown that form for new yard in four runs for them. However, was only a 100-30 chance for a similar race at Taunton in December when last seen but again ran below form (something possibly amiss). Needs a market check for a yard that rarely visit here (1 winner from just 3 runners last 5 years).
C&D winner back in 2015 and looked like one to follow on the back of that win, but has looked regressive in recent times and didn't beat a horse home in two runs on the flat at Newcastle in December. Hopes are pinned on a return to a venue he seems to go well at, but looks a risky proposition these days.
A winner over C&D on Boxing Day when the change of headgear and being allowed an easy lead seemed to do the trick. Not disgraced in better company on latest start (winner Lady Buttons has gone in again since) when not allowed a soft lead, but drop in grade here will help and might well get the lead today. Interesting.
Generally consistent over the last year for new yard (formerly with Nigel Twiston-Davies) and has often gone well at Sedgefield (form figures 3142 over the past 12 months). Turned in another solid effort on lasted start, responding well to pressure to grab second. Every chance of being in the prizemoney off the same mark.
Won this from a 4lb higher mark last year. Latest effort can be forgiven as the trip was simply too far (in heavy ground too) but there was some promise when third to Discoverie (better grade than this) on return to action after a break in November. Decent record at Sedgefield and likely to have been readied for this.
Only the one win in 35 starts, but goes well on tight left-handed tracks and has been placed at Sedgefield six times plus his only win came here too. Inconsistent, but turned in one of his better efforts at Catterick on his latest start and with trip and track fine, is a contender for the places again.
Occasionally produces the odd good run from nowhere, as when second to the well-handicapped Azure Glamour here last March, but has shown next to nothing in his last four runs and needs a huge turnaround in form here.
Winless in 35 starts and although that's unlikely to change here, he did turn in one of his better efforts at Doncaster last time, only giving best after the last. Seems to need good ground, which he's unlikely to get here, and there are much more likely winners.

Forecasts
Murray Mount (9/4), Nicki's Nipper (4/1), Copt Hill (11/2), The Pierre Lark (6/1), Dark And Dangerous (13/2), Beaumont's Party (13/2), Strait Run (9/1), Nafaath (10/1), Fiddler's Flight (12/1), First Of Never (16/1)
There's a good chance that DARK AND DANGEROUS might be allowed his own way up front here, which may well be the key to him running his race. He ran well enough in better company next time out to think he may not be finished winning just yet. Fiddlers Flight will have been well prepared for another crack at the race he won last year, and he and the consistent Nicki's Nipper can fight out the places.

2. Nicki's Nipper
