Winning hurdler but still a maiden on the Flat and wore blinkers for the first time when third in a C&D maiden. Shaped better than the distance he was beaten by in that contest and capable of winning a race such as this.
Made an impression on his first GB start at Wolverhampton when he did a bit too much too soon and could well be better than his third place there. Steps up in trip this time around and has a decent chance if he settles better.
Had four runs in bumpers before being tried on the Flat in a C&D maiden 17 days ago. Offers a little to work with here but would be one more for handicaps in this sphere.
Winning bumper at Lingfield on the AW and won a mares novice hurdle last time out. Certainly worth a try on the Flat for an in-form yard who do well when they team up with Adam Kirby.
Run some useful races in maidens but gas so far yet to break her duck. Below form the last twice and faces some decent rivals (for the grade) in this.
Forecasts
Remember The Man (7/4), Appy Days (2/1), Casablanca (9/2), Darebin (11/2), Treble Strike (16/1), Montycristo (33/1)
The card ends with a maiden that has a jumps feel about it with two of the leading contenders – Darebin and APPY DAYS having won over hurdles. The former looked a little unlucky here last time but the latter has won a bumper here on this surface and with her stable in form she may well be able to get off the mark on the Flat also. Remember The Man promised plenty last timeout when just doing a shade too much and will be interesting if he settles better here whilst Casablanca has had plenty of chances at this level.
