Won a maiden at Catterick in September but not shown much in handicaps since then and steps back in trip here to 6f.
Useful sort on the AW but not shown much for a while although he fared better last time out at Lingfield despite going off too hard.
Maiden winner at Chelmsford in October over 7f but beaten in three handicap chase starts since. Below form last two starts although may well have not enjoyed the Fibresand last time out.
Fair performer but only one previous run on the AW (on debut). Won a Redcar maiden in October for old yard and makes her second start in a handicap on her return from a break.
Winner at Brighton and Lingfield last year but well below form on latest start at Southwell on Fibresand and will be better suited by a return to this surface.
Not ideally placed in his last run over 6f in a C&D handicap and losing run is starting to stack up now.
Has shown some useful form but not shown that much of late and started at big prices in his most recent starts and often starts slowly.
Looks to have been rejuvenated of late winning his last two on the AW. Last win came over 5f at Lingfield but equally capable over this trip off a 6lb higher mark.
Only raced at 5f so this represents a different test for the winner of a maiden at Lingfield. Shaped a little better than his finishing position last time out and could be worth a try at 6f.
In good form of late on the AW and won last time out at Wolverhampton over 5f showing a good attitude to hold on in a close finish. Up 3lb here but should remain competitive.
Quirky but capable sort who has taken the runner-up slot on his last two starts over C&D. Takes a slight step up in grade here and needs all the cards to fall his way to make an impression.
Forecasts
Varsovian (7/4), Rockley Point (11/2), Hamish Mcgonagain (6/1), Head Space (8/1), Masarzain (10/1), Picture Dealer (14/1), Bertie Blu Boy (14/1), Aragon Knight (16/1), Gabrielle (16/1), Dreams Of Glory (25/1), Nag's Wag (33/1)
A fairly workaday sprint handicap but the 6lb rise may not be enough to stop HAMISH MCGONAGAIN from completing his hat-trick given how he powered through to win his last start at Lingfield over 5f and he’s equally home over this 6f. Dreams Of Glory has been in good form of late and won’t go down without a fight while Gabrielle is of interest back off a break and back into handicaps for a new stable. Head Space is more than capable of winning a race like this but does need everything to fall right and at a double-figure price Aragon Knight could well outrun his odds.
1. Hamish Mcgonagain
2. Dreams Of Glory
3. Aragon Knight
