2/2 on the AW (both wins at Kempton) and overall a smart performer winning a Group 3 at Kempton in September. Good second at Ascot after that although disappointed in Italy on his last start in a Group 1. Has to give weight away all round here though but should be able to put in a good display.
First time on the AW for this one but has the form to win at this level given his turf exploits. Last seen when winning the Group 3 Meld Stakes at Leopardstown in July which would give him a good chance here.
Changed stables in late 2016 (sold for 70,000 guineas out of the William Haggas yard) and 2/2 for his new stable over C&D. In good form at the moment but has been a rather quirky sort in the past and can travel strongly whist on occasions looking awkward under pressure. Deserves his chance at this level but faces some more straightforward types here.
Useful in handicaps with wins at Lingfield and Wolverhampton to his name last year. Stepped out of handicap company last time at Wolverhampton in a small-field conditions affair and was found wanting in that and it could be a similar story on this occasion.
Won plenty at Lingfield in 2016 and clearly a very smart performer at the track and over this distance. Had a couple of runs after a break in November and December and nit seen to best effect behind Battalion last time out when needing a stronger gallop but travelled well.
Deserves his chance at this level and showed his best last time out when winning a Wolverhampton handicap off a mark of 97. Thriving of late but this is a tougher test than his last run and he'll need to improve again.
Smart sort and was in good form last year winning on three occasions. Finished last of four at Wolverhampton in a small conditions event last time out when not settling at all and would need to be more tractable to take a hand here.
Useful sort on the AW but not seen to best effect last time out at Wolverhampton in handicap company. Not the most straightforward and a bit to find at the weights here.

Some classy types on display with this being the feature race on an interesting card on the Polytrack with the winner of this race for the past two years GRANDISAR returning in an attempt to make it three-in-a-row. He’ll need a decent pace to run at but given that his trackcraft could see off the likes of Arab Spring and Decorated Knight who are both talented performers but they do return from breaks here and will need to be at their best first-time out. Battalion can’t be left out of the mix although this rather quirky performer does need everything to fall just right for him.
