Yet to win on the AW in five attempts but turned in a creditable effort last time out when third at Newcastle over 2m. Race has worked out well (winner and fourth won next time out) and he did concede first run on that occasion.

Has been shaping well over hurdles of late and looks potentially well treated back on the Flat. Won on his only start on the AW in a Lingfield 1m4f maiden at the start of last year and of interest back in a handicap on the Flat off a mark of 77 over further.

Veteran stayer who has won five times on the AW but failed to come on for a recent run at Kempton Park last time out when wearing a visor for the first time.

Last three starts on the AW have been solid enough and the third at Kempton Park last time out was creditable enough. Handicapper looks to have her in his grasp off this mark though.

Fair handicapper although he hasn't won for a while but did run better last time out when fourth at Kempton Park. Still has work to do here though with some of these and can be slow away.

Dual winner last year taking a Bath handicap in August over 1m2f having previously won a maiden on the AW. Back from a break last time out when disappointing at Kempton Park making little impression over 1m4f.

Forecasts

Byron Flyer (1/2), River Dart (11/2), Miss Tiger Lily (6/1), Northern Meeting (13/2), Saborido (10/1), Wordiness (12/1), Saint Honore (12/1), Pivotal Flame (40/1)

Verdict

This doesn’t look a particularly strong contest and the winning hurdler BYRON FLYER looks to have a sound chance here for the in-form Ian Williams stable off what looks to be a good mark. Northern Meeting was given a fair bit to do last time and will be suited by a return to this trip with Miss Tiger Lily and River Dart also capable of making their presence felt. 1. Byron Flyer 2. Northern Meeting 3. River Dart
