Eye-catching late progress when second to Alans Pride over 7f a week ago on first start for this trainer, weighted to reverse that form and has leading claims in this.

A while since we've seen the best of him at this venue, most recent win coming October 2015. Runs either side of Christmas were satisfactory but probably still in the handicapper's clutch.

Without a win in eight attempts on this surface but knocking on the door and should eventually get in.

Built on previous run to score over 7f at this track a week ago, making all for a comfortable win. Handicapper has had his say, not sure to get such an easy lead and may do well to follow-up.

In and out sort, won over C&D in November, hasn't run as well since off higher mark but his old form suggests he could be capable of doing so.

Has struggled since joining current trainer including when ninth of 13 over 7f here a week ago. Lightly raced and still has a chance to turn things around.

Lightly raced filly hasn't mastered things since going handicapping but is dropping down the ratings and no surprise should she go close soon.

Has struggled all three visits here, switch to handicapping might bring some relief but best watched at the moment.

Has a chance on what she's shown on the AW in three runs, not completely ruled out of calculations despite being wrong at the weights.

Second in a 5f handicap at this track last month, visored now and has a fair chance if repeating that effort.

Not able to sustain his effort when last seen over C&D in November and isn't getting any favours with the weights for this race.

Has won at this venue making all in the past, although possibly paid the price for similar tactics last time when weakening right out of it.

Now a 21-race maiden, four of which have been on AW including two at this venue already this campaign. Out of the weights and faces a huge ask.

Fast Kar21
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-6| J: C P Hoban| T: Barry J Murphy| OR:  58

Ex-French runner didn't show too much on debut here last month and has it all to find on the formbook at this stage.

Forecasts

Alans Pride (6/4), Kodiac's Back (4/1), Guanabara Bay (5/1), Cappadocia (6/1), Little Cupcake (12/1), Dandysteps (12/1), Mr Michael (14/1), Palavicini Run (20/1), Paytheprice (25/1), Missile Command (33/1), Bubblesontherise (33/1), Fast Kar (50/1), Neds Gift (50/1), Straight Gin (66/1)

Verdict

This potentially revolves around the front two from a 7f contest here a week ago, Alans Pride and GUANABARA BAY. It was the former that scored a two-and-a-half length success there but he's 9lb worse off with the runner-up and may struggle to confirm the placings. The selection came from a long way back on the turn in and had to weave through a wall of horses before finally getting going when it was all too late. With the weights in his favour, and an even slice of luck from stall five, he can turn things around. Palavicini Run should get involved at the business end while Bubblesontherise will also get her chance sooner or later. Cappadocia would have claims if reproducing his best efforts under a good rider in this. 1. Guanabara Bay 2. Alans Pride 3. Palavicini Run
