C&D winner with a record of five wins from 14 starts on the AW. 1lb higher than last winning mark but his jockey may be able to squeeze out a little improvement.

Enjoys racing prominently and well-suited to Chelmsford where he scored two starts back, beating Loyalty by a neck. Returns from a significant absence now though and may come on for this run.

Not won since November 2015 and proved disappointing at this course last time over the mile. Hasn't placed since this time last year and while he's well below his last winning mark and has four course wins to his name, he's hard to fancy in current form.

Sole success on the AW came at Lingfield in March 2015 in a Listed Fast-Track Qualifier, but plenty of time has passed since. His AW handicap mark has fallen from 89 to 79 since November due to a string of moderate performances but he has hinted at a return to form on last two starts and may be ready to run a big race.

Scored in a maiden here two starts back and the second has come out and won again since. A little disappointing last time but perhaps didn't enjoy making the running there and could easily bounce back.

Consistent type and close to getting his head in front last time out at Lingfield. Dangerous if allowed an early lead back down to this trip.

Not seen since finishing 16th of 18 at Ascot in the summer. Has scored over C&D twice but her mark looks on the high side for now and may come on for this run.

Losing run now stands at 18 and only won once on the AW. All wins have come over shorter than this and looks vulnerable yet again.

Forecasts

Mystical Spirit (7/2), Pearl Spectre (4/1), Red Trooper (4/1), Twin Point (11/2), Lexington Times (6/1), Dutiful Son (8/1), Childesplay (14/1), Anonymous John (14/1), Equally Fast (14/1), Bouclier (20/1)

Verdict

LEXINGTON TIMES on his sole AW win when scoring in Listed company, rated 98. He's now operating 19lb lower than that mark and has hinted at a return to form on last two starts so he's taken to defy his wide draw (10). Peral Spectre doesn't look to have much scope from this mark but the arrival of Adam Kirby in the saddle might see him improve a little. Red Trooper was disappointing last time but has less exposed profile than most in this field and he's capable of bouncing back. 1. Lexington Times 2. Pearl Spectre 3. Red Trooper
