Didn't need to improve to score for the first time in a year in a three-runner claimer last time. Handicapped upped to near her very best form though and others have more appeal.
Won a weak event at Kempton over this far two starts back and likely to prove better for the recent reappearance at Lingfield after over a year off. Still low mileage but has well-being to prove.
Two-time C&D winner who has come back down to her highest winning mark as a result of running poorly of late. Booking of this jockey is eye-catching and there may not be a lot of pace in the race so possible she may be able to repeat her front running tactics of last year when taking this race with this rider on board.
In the form of her life since stepping up to this trip in July with form figures that read 1122231 on her last seven starts. Dead-heated in what looked a good race for the grade at Newcastle on return in December and may come on for that. 5lb rise for that looks fair considering they pulled five-lengths clear of the third and expected to go close again here.
Winner at Windsor (amateur riders) in October and a decent second at Wolverhampton in November. Duly scored in a Lingfield seller when last seen but he will need more back in a handicap.
Been running well in handicaps of late but the bare level of that form will need improving upon and still a maiden after 12 starts.
Looks well-handicapped if she can transfer all her hurdles ability onto the Flat and has won on the AW back in 2012 at Southwell. Trip earlier in the month looked on the sharp side so better expected here.
Still a maiden after 14 starts and best efforts have come over shorter than this so she looks avoidable in a race as hot as this.
Seems determined to squander her chance from the stalls of late. Benefited for them going too fast last time and managed to get up for second close to home but no guarantee that will happen again here and hard to recommend until there's signs she has addressed her slow starting tendency.
Forecasts
High On Light (2/1), Fast Play (5/1), Heartstone (6/1), Dark Amber (7/1), Celestial Bay (15/2), Shadow Spirit (10/1), Favorite Girl (11/1), Oratorio's Joy (12/1), Included (16/1)
FAVOURITE GIRL looks well-handicapped on her hurdles form and her spin last time out looked on the sharp side. This looks more suitable and she's likely to put up a better show here. Celestial Bay won this last year and gets reunited with Adam Kirby who got her home that day; good chance she will be primed for this. High On Light has been in flying form and should remain competitive off a 5lb higher mark.
1. Favorite Girl
2. High On Light
3. Celestial Bay
