Likes to make the running and has a game attitude. However, he does have a tendency run with the choke out and can leave himself vulnerable to a stronger finisher. Had a poor record in point-to-points and makes limited appeal on his chasing debut.
Modest over hurdles and a lot to prove at present. Possible he may also need a step up in trip to be seen at his best.
Consistent at his own level over hurdles but is of modest ability and hasn't looked to be the most natural of chasers in six previous starts over the larger obstacles. However, he did go close at this track last May, so is no forlorn hope if he takes up the challenge this time around.
Has adapted well to fences of late and comes into this on the back of his best effort for quite some time; an 8lb rise looks fair and he should be capable of making a bold attempt to a follow up in this company.
Unexposed over fences but was struggling from a long way out in a modest event last time; he may be a tad better than he showed on that occasion but has a lot to prove before he can be forwarded as a reliable selection for betting purpose.
Consistent over hurdles and makes a belated chasing debut at a very realistic level. Obviously needs to prove he can cope with the demands of racing over fences but he is one to watch in the betting nevertheless.
Hasn't beaten a single rival home in his last five starts - very difficult to see him being a leading player on that evidence.
Holds place claims on the very best of his form and has run well here in the past but he has been out woefully out of form lately, so would only be a tentative option to make the frame even if the market were to speak in his favour.
Has experience of the hurdles course here but makes limited appeal on the form he has posted; also disconcerting that he races from so far out of the weights in such a modest race; readily opposable.
Forecasts
Yourholidayisover (5/4), Clonusker (5/1), Instingtive (13/2), Grayhawk (7/1), Jump And Jump (9/1), Alottarain (10/1), Taroum (16/1), Nouailhas (40/1), Bonnie Major (100/1)
At the age of ten, it is unlikely that YOURHOLIDAYISOVER has much more improvement to come. But truth be told, he won’t need to find much to brush this lot aside and appeals as the best of a modest bunch. Clonusker has been found an soft opening to make his chasing debut and is worth noting for support, while Taroum holds claims on the very best of his form, so cannot be ruled out of making the frame.
