Eight-years-old and has raced just twice, most recently when winning 20-runner maiden hurdle at Tipperary 644 days ago. Fitness to prove for chase but an interesting runner.

Jumping often an issue over hurdles, and a bitter disappointment on first chase start last month at Limerick. Best left alone for now.
Beat all bar one in beginners chase at Limerick last month, jumping soundly. Could have more to offer.

Promising in three starts over fences, latest when runner-up behind easy winner at Cork over 2m4f earlier this month. Should go well.

Ran well for a long way, if a bit keen, before being pulled up in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, not seen since but very much one to note on chase debut.

Rated 136 over hurdles but hasn't yet translated that to chasing. Could do well in time but tough to see him prevailing in this.
Didn't leave a great impression on sole start over fences at Punchestown in May 2015, is race-fit from hurdling/AW exploits but not in great form.

Hasn't really delivered on expectations in three starts over fences this season, disappointing if he can't do better though and now dropped to two-miles.
Runner-up in point-to-point on debut, less promising in that sphere one subsequent start which was 284 days ago.

Made a decent start over fences at Limerick last month (behind Double Island) and open to more progress.

50/1
Jumping was a concern when starting out over fences last summer at Wexford and Tramore, been back over timber since and comes here with plenty to prove despite yard being in form.
12

50/1
Won a three-mile handicap hurdle off 106 when last seen in September 2015 and was generally very reliable in that sphere. Makes first chase start now.

Mare was very consistent over the second part of last year over hurdles and has to be given a chance with allowance for chase debut.

Forecasts

Mall Dini (2/1), General Principle (11/4), Great Field (3/1), Dicosimo (7/1), Double Island (11/1), Macnicholson (20/1), Nine Stiches (20/1), Teacher's Pet (20/1), Bitsandpieces (33/1), Winter Breeze (50/1), Simiel (50/1), Joxer (66/1), Mount Oliver (66/1)

Verdict

Great Field is an exciting recruit here sporting familiar colours and for the champion trainer but he was very keen over hurdles and will need to settle much quicker to hold his chances. He should give a bold account on his first appearance since the Cheltenham Festival but MALL DINI sets a fair standard to aim at and might open his account over fences at the fourth time of asking now dropped to two-miles. General Principle and Double Island are others that have shown an aptitude for this test and will have their say again. 1. Mall Dini 2. Great Field 3. General Principle
