Didn't get a clear run last time out at Kempton and only made progress inside the final furlong; which came on the back of a similar effort at the same track the previous month. She dominated the field when she won her maiden, so wouldn't be surprising to see her make the running in this company. She has proved to be vulnerable to anything with a turn of foot, though.

Her breeding suggests that a step up in trip will suit this Teofilio filly and she is one to monitor in the betting. She won a maiden in good style but was a tad disappointing when attempting to follow up in a handicap here at the back-end of December, so does have a little to prove.

Steadily improving and won her handicap debut in good style here just over a week ago. She faces a stiff test from a 7lb higher mark this time around though.

Raised just 3lb for winning a moderate handicap at Wolverhampton earlier this month, so has a feasible chance of making the frame if she continues to thrive.

Battled on determinedly in the first-time cheekpieces to win a nursery at Kempton last month, so it's interesting to note the switch to racing in blinkers this time around. She races off 3lb higher today, which looks fair in the context of this race. However, it remains to be seen if the fitting of headgear will work twice on the bounce. She readily brushed aside African Beat and Pobbles when they met at Kempton but it will take a good effort to repeat the feat on the revised terms.

Exposed as ordinary and needs everything to fall into place for her to figure here.

Won a maiden in game style over 7f last time but she is yet to really convince over a mile and she needs to conclusively prove her stamina will hold out over the trip.

Do You Know21

Needs to improve on the form she showed in a maiden auction last time out but she represents a yard that does well here, so is worth a cursory look in the betting at least.

Forecasts

African Beat (7/4), Tisbutadream (9/2), Washington Blue (9/2), Sky Ballerina (5/1), Pobbles (7/1), Touch Me (16/1), Do You Know (20/1), Chica De La Noche (25/1)

Verdict

An interesting start to the afternoon and a chance is taken that a clear run from AFRICAN BEAT can help here to reverse recent form with Washington Blue and get us off to a flyer. Sky Ballerina is improving steadily and will be a threat, while Do You Know creeps in at the foot of the weights and has a handy draw to tag along with the early pace. 1. African Beat 2. Washington Blue 3. Sky Ballerina
