Not many miles on the clock still for this soft ground Bangor winner of a similar contest in December. Well beaten under a penalty last time, however, and races from 11lb higher than that sole success, so no easy task.
Runner-up in a mares' bumper at Wetherby a couple of years ago, though has been unable to build on that. Goes handicapping for the first time over hurdles today, up against her own sex and from a good yard, it would be no surprise to see her get much closer.
Landed a Carlisle bumper in March (good) and made the frame on hurdling debut at Hexham in October. Pulled up when making handicap debut at Fontwell last time and from the same mark today she has plenty to prove now.
Dutch Art mare who made the frame for the first time over hurdles in a mares' novices contest last time at 100/1. Rated 63 on the Flat, but with her yard in good form she may be able to do better now handicapping against her fellow females.
This is easier than the two recent handicap hurdles that she has contested, albeit that she was well beaten last time. More questions than answers where she is concerned at present.
Can't be given much of a squeak on the evidence of four novices' hurdle runs, but this Bangor bumper runner-up could now show a fair bit more by moving into handicap company and a market check is advised.
Finished in a different parish to the talented Neon Wolf at Exeter on New Year's Day, but the horse who finished a couple of places behind her has finished runner-up in a handicap since, so there are clear possibilities for a mare who represents a good yard now that she goes handicapping.
Has hit the frame five times in hurdles, three of them in handicaps. Stays three miles and acts with cut in the ground, so has to enter calculations.
Up 9lb for soft ground Plumpton win last time over a similar trip, though seems to reserve her best for there and this looks a tough enough assignment.
Has been in the grip of the handicapper since landing a Stratford novices' contest in June and has fared no better against her own sex recently to be able to recommend her.
Very lowly mark to work with here and cheek pieces are applied for the first time. If they can galvanise her into a similar or better effort than when runner-up at Bangor two starts ago then she could be thereabouts.
Acts on good to soft, though yet to prove she goes on anything more testing. Not a bad effort at Wincanton last month, but otherwise has plenty to prove and races from out of the handicap.

Miss Mash (3/1), Flobury (6/1), Staunton (7/1), Katie's Hen (7/1), Madame Lafite (7/1), Premier Rose (8/1), Timeforfirth (10/1), Actlikeacountess (12/1), Kayflin (14/1), Wildehearted Woman (20/1), River Dun (25/1), Sudden Wish (33/1), Miss Giselle (50/1)
An open heat where a number of runners are likely to show us more than they have to date and a chance is taken on ACTLIKEACOUNTESS. Neil Mulholland's six-year-old went reasonably well last time and finished ahead of a horse who has come out and gone well from a similar mark to hers since then. With an extra 3lb off her back for her handicap debut, today could be the day to catch her. Timeforfirth would be no shock winner, while Miss Giselle, Flobury and Madame Lafite are others with claims.
1. Actlikeacountess
2. Timeforfirth
3. Madame Lafite
