Progressive type who recorded seven wins (one over C&D) over the course of last season's AW campaign. Been below form in two Kempton runs since but bounced back to form with a good fourth last time. Good chance he can resume progress here provided he gets a strong gallop to aim at.
Both wins have come over further than this and still 3lb above last winning mark so others preferred.
C&D winner and becoming well-handicapped but been in very poor form of late and tailed off at Newcastle when last seen so has plenty to prove off the back of that effort.
Course winner who is probably better over further than this and likely to need this run after a break.
Has some useful form to his name but hasn't won since December 2015. Disappointing in two starts to date for this yard, not beating a rival on either occasion and hard to fancy in this form.
Unexposed but form of last win hasn't worked out particularly well. Every chance he will improve but has a very disappointing run to overcome when finishing tailed off last time.
Bounced back to form two starts back and probably had a bit more up his sleeve than the winning margin suggests. Front three finished clear that day and the handicapper didn't over-react so he should be thereabouts if he can bounce back from a poor run here last time.
Put back-to-back wins together at this track at the end of 2015 and while he doesn't seem in the same form since, he's hard to rule out from only 3lb higher than last winning mark.
Got off the mark with an impressive win last time and probably value for more than the 4lb he's been risen so chance he could get back-to-back victories from a much better draw.
Forecasts
Dream Factory (9/4), Tangramm (5/2), Snobbery (5/1), Clovelly Bay (8/1), Be My Sea (11/1), Spes Nostra (12/1), Modernism (20/1), Rowlestone Lass (50/1), With Hindsight (50/1)
TANGRAMM was an exciting horse to follow last year and probably didn't get a strong enough pace to run at last time out when finishing fourth he, he should do better than that here. Dream Factory was value for more than the 4lb he's gone up in the weights for his maiden win and should give another good account with an in-form jockey booked. Clovelly Bay was disappointing last time but proved he's better than that the time before and may be able to bounce back.
1. Tangramm
2. Dream Factory
3. Clovelly Bay
