Last run was a promising one behind useful pair in Grade One novice hurdle, been off eight months and demanding task first time in handicaps.

Winner over 2m4 at Naas in November and looked booked for just minor honours in valuable race here last month when brought down at the last. Up 1lb and this is much tougher.

Has been running in good quality races of late and while not looking like winning he could easily sneak a place off this mark on a going day.

Closely matched with That's A Wrap on last month's run here, up in the ratings however and plenty to do in this race.

Just the four starts over timber so far, showing some promise early on but not at his best last month at Down Royal in two-mile handicap.

Second of four for trainer in this, ran well in Ascot Grade Three off 125 before Christmas, looks sure to play a big role in this.

Another that was right behind That's A Wrap last month, since been found wanting off higher mark at Cork and up another 1lb now, this requires more for trainer in form.

Verdict

The jet-setting Heartbreak City arrives here on the back of a blinding run in the Melbourne Cup. A Galway Festival winner in the summer, it won't be any surprise to see him in the mix again here. His trainer has equally solid claims with Golden Spear who ran well at Ascot last time out and should go well again. That's A Wrap was a C&D winner last month, with the likes of After Rain, Gladiator King and Veinard all close in behind, and he should mount another challenge. ALLBLAK DES PLACES was disappointing last time out but that was on very testing ground and, with the champion jockey's blessing, he is fancied to make amends by running a big race on his handicap debut here. 1. Allblak Des Places 2. Heartbreak City 3. Golden Spear
