Returns to hurdles from two starts over fences including a comfortable win last time out. Was a consistent handicap hurdler last season before his mark caught up with him. Big player if building on that progress.
Ran away with two novice events in Carlisle in the Autumn before form leveled off there and at Wetherby in October. Makes handicap debut today and initial mark of 130 is high enough, but not out of the reckoning by any means.
Got off the mark for current trainer at the fifth time of asking at Wetherby in November (2m, Good to Soft). Has shot up in the weights since then and failed to add to that win on two starts but those were behind more talented company than today's line-up, including Cheltenham Festival winner Superb Story.
Former C&D winner who has struggled since switching yards just over a year ago. He drops back down to the mark he came closest to winning off since then in October and has the assistance of a top jockey for the first time, but has something to find with a few of these.
Didn't disgrace himself in handicap debut at Kelso last time and he goes up one pound for that second. Has been seen to his best effect over this trip on this sort of ground, and can run another big race again.
On a lower mark than when running a solid fourth here in a more competitive contest on New Year's Day. Had Eyes Of A Tiger behind him on that occasion, and can make another bold bid back down in class.
Has struggled to find his feet in four starts over hurdles so far. Last time was probably the best of those, though, and he's gradually getting lower in the weights. Likely to be outclassed here.
Decent flat horse who has made a good start over hurdles and remains unexposed, especially off a low weight on handicap debut. The course's top jockey is back in the saddle and there should be more to come from this progressive gelding.
A narrow winner of a Class 3 handicap at Hereford last time out, this young novice looks potentially well handicapped for some top connections. Definitely his toughest test yet, but remains totally unexposed.
A C&D winner last time and comes into this off a featherweight, but has much to find with some of his classier opponents, especially as the form of that previous win is not particularly strong.

A competitive race, in which two of the field, JONNY DELTA and Eyes of a Tiger ran highly creditable races in fourth and fifth behind last year's County Hurdle winner Superb Story here on New Year's Day. That form reads very well, and though it's not impossible that the latter could reverse former the weight advantage makes Jim Goldie's charge the one to be with here. Project Bluebook starts his handicap career on a low weight and the unexposed gelding can pose the main danger.
