Has won three chases on soft or heavy ground, including over 2m 2f here in December. A 5lb did for him next time at Kelso and his profile suggests that, from the same mark here he may well find one or two too good.
Loves it around here with four course wins. Stays at least as far as this and it is not long since he was racing from a significantly higher mark. Conditions suit and it would be no surprise to see him pop up again.
Won four races when with Lucinda Russell and earned his stripes for his current yard with an eight length soft ground handicap hurdle victory over three miles here earlier in the month. Now back over fences but no reason why he can't go on from there off the same mark as he won a Wetherby chase this time last year.
Enjoyed a run of four wins from five races two years ago, all of them in 2m 4f handicap chase. Handicapper then took his measure, though he has twice made the frame from 1lb lower than today's pitch, so could go well on ground he handles.
Relishes bottomless conditions, having picked up three wins on heavy ground. The most recent of those was at Bangor in April from a mark 3lb below today's. Not one to rule out completely, though may need a further drop before he is able to win again.
Gets on really well with this pilot, who has steered him to all three career wins, all at this venue. Loves to get his toe in and this trip is no problem, though on a losing run of 11 races.
Another who relishes cut in the ground and this sort of trip. Well beaten in his last two outings, but with the yard among the winners it would be no surprise to see him take a closer hand.
Irish Point winner last spring who was sent off as favourite but failed to fire on his chase debut in a novices' handicap at Wetherby on Boxing Day. Now taking on some even more experienced opponents, though yard going well and is considered.

Rowdy Rocher (13/8), Plus Jamais (7/2), Dick Darsie (11/2), Presenting Junior (8/1), Beauboreen (10/1), Master Ruffit (12/1), Gold Opera (14/1), Present Lodger (16/1), Verko (25/1)
ROWDY ROCHER scored from this mark at Wetherby last year and comes here with confidence high after a win last time. He is taken to follow-up, with Presenting Junior a likely danger and in receipt of weight from all around, the inexperienced Dick Darsie can take a hand.
