Was highly tried last season and showed glimpses of ability but has failed to capitalize on that promise in two starts this term, being soundly beaten both times. Needs to show a lot more here although return to softer ground will help.
Second start for his new trainer and blinkers applied for the first time here. Tries a new trip for the first time today which could bring about improvement.
Been a long time since he visited the winners circle although has shown improved form on his last two starts. All three wins have come right-handed so this left-handed track may not be totally ideal for him.
Has shown improved form since switching to handicaps and longer trips and was still going well last time out when unseating three out at Hereford. Worthy of consideration here.
Switches back to hurdles after winning on his second chase start last time out. Yet to score in eight previous hurdle starts and was well beaten on both previous starts on ground as soft as this.
A hardened handicapper with 54 previous hurdle starts to his name and 85 career starts in total. On a good mark and will appreciate the soft conditions but been a while since he won under National Hunt rules.
Forecasts
Ghost River (3/1), Kid Kalanisi (7/2), Newsworthy (7/2), Letemgo (4/1), American Life (11/2), Deckers Delight (8/1), Tzar De L'Elfe (50/1)
A weak looking contest and DECKERS DELIGHT can make up for un-seating last time out with victory here. The switch to handicaps and longer trips seems to have worked the oracle and Aidan Coleman is an interesting booking for the mare. NEWSWORTHY may follow her home and KID KALANISI can also get involved in the finish.
1. Deckers Delight
2. Newsworthy
3. Kid Kalanisi
