Still a maiden after 10 starts but performed with credit on sole start at this track when finishing third of 10. Seems relatively effective on soft ground but he doesn't look like on of the better handicapped runners in the field.
Failed to justify market support on first three starts but put up career best at Bangor last time out when dropped back in trip and dangerous to rule out for powerful connections.
Drop back in trip isn't an obvious plus point and his best performance came on faster ground than he'll encounter today but he has claims if he can get back to the form that saw him run out an impressive winner at Stratford three starts back.
He was an impressive winner at Cheltenham two starts back and ran respectably last time out at Leicester but he is 0-4 when the ground is soft or worse and that has to be a concern with the forecast conditions.
Plenty of promise in a Worcester bumper on debut but tailed off on three starts over hurdles and he doesn't look a natural over obstacles.
Has performed well in two efforts around Plumpton and that bodes well on his first start at this track due to the similarities of the courses. Tailed off last time and best efforts have come on good ground so might struggle in the conditions.
Unplaced on 14 career starts and didn't show enough on stable debut last start to warrant serious consideration here.
Just about coped with heavy conditions at Wetherby last time when finishing third but no match for the winner. Further relief from the handicapper has given him a place chance.
Belied odds of 100/1 when finish third of 13 last time at Uttoxeter. Well being in question after eight months off the track but he showed a liking for softer conditions on the Flat and he may be able to build on his most recent performance.
Some respectable form in point-to-points but unplaced on three starts under rules having gone off at triple figure odds on all three occasions and he's likely to want further with time.
Unplaced on all 14 career starts but has shown some ability more recently and likely a race will fall her way at some stage. Likely to have easier oppurtunites than this to get off the mark though.
Forecasts
Diamond Rock (9/2), Wildmoor Boy (5/1), Starlight Court (5/1), Celestial Magic (6/1), Peterpanopirateman (7/1), Welluptoscratch (8/1), Thehossbehind (12/1), Blackfire (14/1), Alys Rock (16/1), Falcon's Reign (25/1), Free Return (66/1)
Mick Appleby has two in here but it's the booking of Jamie Moore that catches the eye. Provided FALCON'S REIGN is fit to go after an eight month absence, he could build on his third placed effort at Uttoxeter when last seen and he's not badly handicapped if he were to transfer all his ability from his days on the Flat. Starlight Court has come in for some market support in the past and he looked like he was getting his act together last time out. Alys Rock hasn't managed to place in her career to date but she's shown a better attitude of late and may be able to land some prize money.
1. Falcon's Reign
2. Starlight Court
3. Alys Rock
