Good run off this mark at Warwick in early December should have him spot on for this contest, reliable customer in this company.

Back from a break last month for two starts, fancied at Warwick on New Year's Eve but jumped poorly and pulled up. Bit to prove now.

Best effort for this trainer on third start at Kempton in May when third of 13. Off since but gets another 3lbs back and chance if ready to roll.

Not the most reliable and pulled up on chase bow at Hereford last month. Two-miles maybe too sharp there, goes up in trip now.

Best effort for this yard at Plumpton last month, still some work to be done on his jumping but capable of better still.

Hasn't threatened to land a blow for this yard, was in rear when unseating on return to action last month at Fontwell. Dropping down the ratings however.

Likeable veteran was on great terms with himself through a busy autumn campaign without winning, less promising on New Year's Day and is now a teenager.

Fakenham chase bow in December was full of promise but well beaten back there on New Year's Day when refusing at the final obstacle.

Fair effort on return at Taunton last month over longer. Not beaten far at Warwick in September at this trip off a higher mark.

Forecasts

Redmond (7/2), Bally Lagan (9/2), Lord Landen (6/1), Tommy The Rascal (13/2), Far From Defeat (15/2), Cor Wot An Apple (8/1), Sizing Sahara (10/1), Speed Demon (10/1), That's The Deal (28/1)

Verdict

BALLY LAGAN is on a nice mark here relative to his Warwick effort at this trip in September and he gets the vote in a race where plenty have questions to answer. Tommy The Rascal blotted his copybook when refusing at Fakenham recently while Far From Defeat didn't match market expectations on New Year's Eve. Redmond should be more at home over this trip while Lord Landen is sure to give his running and is fit after last month's Warwick effort. 1. Bally Lagan 2. Redmond 3. Lord Landen
