Didn't need to improve to win last time out at Southwell but did it well enough, travelling fluently on the Southwell firbesand. Questionable what that form is worth but still early days for this yard and may go in again if she proves as effective around here (ran well here two starts back).
C&D winner who has been a revelation in five starts for this yard. However, there's a suspicion the handicapper has caught up with him and he has an absence to overcome.
Not devoid of ability and has run well on the AW. Disappointing last summer on turf but has joined a new yard and is on a workable mark from a handicapping perspective. The booking of this jockey suggests he may be ready to go after a break and any market support may prove significant.
Proved very disappointing for previous yard and has a significant break to overcome. Raced just once on the AW (unplaced) and hard to fancy on debut for this yard.
Still a maiden but best run to date was over C&D and conceivable he will win a race at some point. However, handicapper is refusing to relent and given he has a tendency to miss the break, he's a risky betting proposition.
Better horse on the Flat than over hurdles but 10lb hike for latest Bath win in July makes life tough and he's never won off a mark this high.
Unlucky not to place last time out and put in a good performance at Chelmsford the time before. Has won at this course over much shorter and mark looks fair so should be thereabouts again.
Unplaced on all 12 starts and the handicapper refusing to give much back. Not shown enough in six starts on the AW to be a leading contender here.

Trainer Mick Appleby can often improve horses taken from other stables and he appears to have done that again with OMINOTAGO. The mare travelled well at Southwell last time and put the race to bed with two furlongs to go and while it's unclear how strong that form is, he ran well at this course the time before. The suspicion is he's still well-handicapped. Monna Valley is a consistent type who gets on well with this rider and any market support for Start Seven could prove significant.
