Probably a little unlucky to still be a maiden and has bumped into one on a couple of occasions but disappointed when favourite last time out and has a significant absence to overcome.
Showed very little in two starts to date and while jockey/trainer combination should be feared, a more likely winning route looks to be handicaps (receives mark after this run).
Cost 62,000 Gns as a yearling but seems late to be making her racecourse debut quite late and presumably hasn't been easy to train. This trip looks likely to stretch so others preferred all things considered.
Best run to date came last time out when fifth of 13 at Wolverhampton but her opening mark looks no gimme and that's presumably why she finds herself back in maiden company. Level of form shown to date is unlikely to be good enough to take this.
Ran better than final position suggested at Kempton last time out and that looked like a decent enough contest so claims if she can build on that up in trip.
Just two poor efforts in maidens to her name and while she represents top connections, handicaps look like a more likely route for getting her maiden win.
Very promising run on debut last time out, finishing third behind a precocious type and trainers horses generally come on leaps and bounds for their first run. Jockey has her first ride as official stable jockey and connections may be looking at getting the relationship off to a flying start.
Sea The Starts filly who cost a small fortune as a yearling (200,000 Gns) and pedigree suggests she will enjoy this surface and trip. No fancies entries but market check certainly advised.
Has work to do to turn form round with Nurse Nightingale here and has drawn poorly so others preferred.
Represents top connections and appears to be the stable first string on jockey bookings. Market should reveal plenty but this trip may stretch her a little.
Forecasts
Nurse Nightingale (6/5), Ocean Drive (9/2), Lucrezia (9/2), Utopian Dream (6/1), Shadele (12/1), Tomorrow Mystery (20/1), Dizzey Heights (20/1), My Rosie (25/1), Sirens Rock (50/1), Mayflair (66/1)
Josephine Gordon has her first ride as official stable jockey for Hugo Palmer and he only sends one to Lingfield today. They may well want to get their partnership off to a flyer with NURSE NIGHTINGALE. She ran a good race last time out behind a smart looking John Gosden horse who went off at odds-on and she could well improve for that so she will likely set a high benchmark. Ocean Drive and Utopian Dream are both making their debut but make plenty of appeal on paper for top connections.
1. Nurse Nightingale
2. Ocean Drive
3. Utopian Dream
