Beaten at odds-on last time when making a bad mistake and unseating the rider but that was an uncharacteristic error. Generally a consistent performer, so likely to be of warm order again here even though he's gone up in the weights.
Only got his head in front twice in 31 starts. Handicapper looks to have his measure for now.
Fine run behind Eastlake at Aintree last year in the Topham Chase and seems to be a better horse in that sphere. Hurdles mark looks exploitable but he usually needs his seasonal reappearance.
Expensive French recruit and yard tend to do well with these types but needs to step up on bare level of that form.
First start for this team and looked in need of relief from the handicapper on final start in this sphere. Interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Yet to get his head in front on six starts so far in his career. Still early days for this yard though and he looks on a good mark.
Has run well on both starts for this yard and well backed last time when finishing third. Clearly thought a lot of and the extra distance ought to suit.
Largely interrupted career to date. None more so than recently, failing to string to runs together. Tailed off when last seen in November so plenty of risks attached.
Has been in poor form this campaign, particularly when last seen tailed off at Towcester. Well-being taken on trust.
Still a maiden in 11 starts but recorded best performance to date last time at Southwell. Different kind of track to deal with today but may be able to build on that effort and he has place possibilities.
Has won off a mark higher than this and ran okay last time but he has another sizable break to overcome and tends to need the run after an absence.
Inconsistent type who's likely to need more relief from the handicapper before becoming of interest and has an inexperienced claimer booked.
Forecasts
Caid Du Lin (5/2), Burrows Park (10/3), Walt (7/2), Royal Plaza (8/1), Disputed (9/1), Viva Rafa (16/1), Georgieshore (16/1), Stiff Upper Lip (25/1), Grand Gold (33/1), Mr Fickle (50/1), Fairy Rath (50/1), Trackmate (100/1)
The step up in distance for BURROWS PARK may be exactly what the doctor ordered and he's been well backed on both starts for this yard. His trainer usually finds the key to these types and he should go close after two recent placed efforts. Royal Plaza is a model of consistency and made an uncharacteristic mistake last time out when unseating his rider; better expected here. It's still early days for Walt and it would be a surprise if the Mulholland team didn't get a win out of him sooner or later.
1. Burrows Park
2. Royal Plaza
3. Walt
