Plenty of promise when making all to win at Exeter in November before being thrown in at the deep end at Cheltenham last time. However, still performed with credit and should take all the beating back down in trip and Grade here.
Won well over C&D on debut but the second didn't do a great deal for the form next time out. Any amount of improvement in him though ought to see him run his stablemate close.
Point winner who struggled on debut for this yard in a bumper but this trip more like it and will probably want further in time. Inexperienced claimer booked.
Pulled up no trees in bumpers four years ago and been plying his trade in PTPs since. Hard to fancy making hurdle debut at this age.
Barely beat any home on first four starts and pulled up on hurdle debut so not hard to look elsewhere.
Made jumping errors on hurdle debut and trainer's runners generally need more time. Up in trip.
Interesting French recruit who won and placed in some valuable races in France. Changed hands for €75,000 in November and yard do well with these types so warrants plenty of respect with experience on his side.
Ran with some promise in a bumper last spring before fading but has a significant test on his hands here and returning from a break, others are preferred.
Ran okay in Chepstow bumper but plenty more needed in here and that was only last month. With an inexperienced claimer booked, a big run looks in doubt.
Expensive purchase as a 3-y-o and seems to be the stables first string (also run An Siltean). Trainer has an excellent strike rate with younger types and any market moves for him could prove significant on debut.
Unplaced in five starts under rules and hasn't shown a great deal of promise so one would imagine they'll be easier opportunities down the line.
Pulled up in a recent PTP and has never got his head in front in that sphere so hard to imagine him popping up in this at the age of ten.
Ran with some promise in a bumper in the summer but didn't transfer that to hurdling debut and made plenty of jumping errors on the way round so not hard to pass-over.
Cheap purchase whose trainer has a respectable record around here. Hard to see him competing with some of these but probably has a better chance than some of the outsiders in this field.
Outran his odds of 125/1 last time out when placing at this course and winner has come out and won again since but plenty more improvement needed to get on top here.
Ran well in a Listowel bumper for Gordon Elliot and not without promise here but needs to smarten up his jumping and he appears to be the stables third string.

It's hard to get away from the credentials of ANCHOR MAN for the Paul Nicholls stable. The five-year-old struggled in Grade 2 company last time but he will have learned plenty from that experience and back down in class, he should take all the beating. Catamaran Du Seull is an interesting French recruit for Dr Richard Newland and is worthy of plenty of respect judged on his efforts over the channel. The perceived Paul Nicholls second string Black Valentine won well over C&D last time out and there's no obvious reason he won't get involved again.
