Paid the price for a decisive 3m hurdles success at Doncaster at around this time last year, and has struggled in four subsequent starts over hurdles after initially being raised 12lbs, furthermore, also showing seemingly little relish for chasing. Beginning to fall in the weights (back to 100), but a seven month absence to overcome.
Lightly-raced mare who makes her handicap debut from a mark which may have been kinder. Just over eight lengths fourth on hurdle debut in a mares maiden event here in November, and a similar level of form chasing home a well-backed promising rival at Kelso most recently. Steps up slightly in trip here.
24 length scorer in a heavy ground Ayr bumper in March last year, but generally not fluent and unable to build upon that success in four starts over hurdles. Handicap debut and up in trip.
Winning pointer, who has been campaigned in chases over his last six starts. Did manage a couple of second placed efforts at Sedgefield (2m4f) in those races but questions to answer over hurdles.
Maiden in 17 races under rules, but a couple of third placed efforts at this track to his name, including from this mark two starts back in December. Up slightly in trip for that run, and less promising at Bangor since.
Maiden in 28 races under rules, but running fairly consistently from this sort of mark (placed) in March, April and May last year, including at this track. Less promising this winter, and others preferred.
Formerly with Gary Moore, and shown little in two starts, including once at this track, for this yard so far over shorter trips, and remains 3lbs above sole winning hurdles mark of 80.
A distant second on NHF debut at Ffos Las in May 2014, but has shown precious little over hurdles in three starts in maiden company in Ireland (possibly out of depth). Handicap debut for new yard but the best part of a two year absence to overcome.
Shown absolutely nothing in six starts to date, including on four occasions over timber in novice company. Makes handicap debut off a mark of 76 with a seven month absence to overcome.
Veteran, who recorded her sole success from this mark over 3m at this track back in March 2014. Struggled since under similar conditions from marks in the 80s, including on return from 22 month absence when pulled up at Hexham last month.
Mainly massive odds and not beaten many rivals so far during her seven race career, but did manage a career best fourth on handicap debut last time at Ayr. Up again in trip from his basement mark.
Forecasts
Oscar's Prospect (3/1), Diego Suarez (4/1), Countdown (5/1), Ask Paddy (6/1), Redkalani (10/1), Grays Choice (10/1), Toarmandowithlove (16/1), Mcginty's Dream (18/1), King Of The Dark (25/1), Bollin Julie (28/1), Torero (40/1)
A race in which very little makes any significant appeal. Oscar's Prospect makes her handicap debut from a difficult enough looking mark, but she has been in some sort of form this winter unlike most of the others. Both Redkalani and Bollin Julie have winning hurdles form in the bag from similar marks, but whether either is capable of matching that level of form these days is a moot point. DIEGO SUAREZ may be worth chancing off the back of two reasonable efforts at this track, and although stepped up further in trip, which may not be ideal, his December third here came in a similarly low grade contest.
1. Diego Suarez
2. Oscar's Prospect
3. Redkalani
