11/8
Previous winner on the turf course around here and placed on the AW over C&D last time out. Probably left with too much to do on that occasion and feasibly handicapped.

Icebuster28
Age: 9|  Weight: 9-7| J: Ryan Tate| T: B R Millman| OR:  82
33/1
Zero wins from 21 attempts on the AW. Tends to have struggled from a mark this high in the past and has a significant break to overcome.

Elysian Prince34
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-4| J: Unknown| T: N B King| OR:  79
11/4
C&D winner who may still have some scope from current mark. Disappointing when last seen but has been freshened up with a break and the jockey booking suggest the connections mean business.

5/1
All four of his wins have come over C&D and he went very close last time out at Chelmsford City, a course that wouldn't necessarily suit his running style.

20/1
C&D winner who hasn't scored from a mark this high since 3yo career. Has a break to overcome and has a record of not beating another horse home when fresh (0-3)

Out of the places in last six starts and finished last at this course last time out on first start for new yard. Hard to fancy but any market support may be significant.

Age: 6|  Weight: 8-11| J: Tom Marquand| T: M R Bosley| OR:  72

Course winner who has struggled from a mark this high in the past and unplaced on three AW starts this winter.

Believe Itb6
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-8| J: Nicola Currie(7)| T: R Hughes| OR:  69
6/1
Consistent type who won well for this rider last time out in an Apprentice race. They have more on their plate here though.

Forecasts

Dutch Uncle (11/8), Elysian Prince (11/4), Starlit Cantata (5/1), Believe It (6/1), Exceeding Power (16/1), The Gay Cavalier (20/1), Icebuster (33/1), Genuine Approval (33/1)

Verdict

STARLIT CANTATA has a fine record around this track and a repeat of the second placed effort at Chelmsford City last time out could be enough to take this. Dutch Uncle wasn't helped by being poorly positioned last time out and one would expect a horse with such talent would have a better record than two wins from 19 starts. Considering he's likely to be a short priced favourite he's respected but opposable. Elysian Prince is another C&D winner who has the potential to be better than his current mark. The booking of George Baker suggests a big run is expected. 1. Starlit Cantata 2. Dutch Uncle 3. Elysian Prince
