Yet to get off the mark in eight career starts but did show minor promise at the start of his career. Failed to get involved in a similar event to this at Lingfield last week though and hard to recommend on current form.
Four placed efforts from 12 starts and he usually gives his running but needs more if he's to be considered for win purposes.
Shaped as if amiss when last seen and raced exclusively on turf through the summer. May improve for the switch to a synthetic surface and best efforts have come when wearing cheekpieces (back on today).
Arguably unlucky not to get his head in front at Haydock on penultimate start and ran okay in a Kempton maiden when last seen. Doesn't appear to be crying out for this drop down in trip but has shown more ability than most of these and respected nonetheless.
Quirky type who did well to finish runner-up in a Yarmouth maiden behind a smart Roger Varian colt in October but he appears to have regressed in three starts since then. Five furlong trip may see him settle better and dangerous to rule out on his Yarmouth form.
Has run well in two placed attempts over C&D on last two starts. Had excuses last time out when he failed to get a clear run at a crucial stage and while it's hard to tell what that form is worth, he's likely to be thereabouts again.
Ought to enjoy the surface based on pedigree but it's some time since the yard had a winner and they're not renowned for success with their newcomers. Hard to fancy unless market says otherwise.
Forecasts
The Daley Express (4/5), Juan Horsepower (9/4), Secret Agent (8/1), Cappananty Con (12/1), Heavenly Cry (16/1), Irish Melody (50/1), Tink (100/1)
While The Daley Express has placed twice over C&D, it's hard to estimate exactly what that form is worth and with him likely to be a short-priced favourite, a chance is taken on SECRET AGENT. The form of his run at Yarmouth looks the best on offer here and while he often takes a keen hold in his races, the drop down to the minimum trip may just work the oracle. Juan Horsepower has shown some ability but five furlongs may prove to sharp to be considered for win purposes.
1. Secret Agent
2. The Daley Express
3. Juan Horsepower
