Brought up Wincanton double last month in fortuitous style following departure of Southfield Theatre. Well held at Newbury and should struggle giving weight all round here.
Scored a chase success in summer race at Uttoxeter before reverting to hurdles, trainer in decent form and not without a chance here.
Winner on chase debut at Wincanton in May, Nicky Henderson's charge eventually paid for his jumping at Sandown last time out. He was right in contention there and should be again if his jumping holds up.
First start for new connections here. Owner of a decent record in this sphere for former trainer Alan King, but is yet to win at this sort of trip.
Struggles for consistency these days and was beaten a long way on reappearance at Bangor.
Emma Lavelle's nine-year-old contained bags of promise at one stage but has rather lost his way and his losing run stands at 15 races and two years now.
Scored at Worcester in September but exposed off this mark on his latest run, Killian Moore's claim might help.
Was starting to back-peddle at Doncaster last month before falling having set the pace. Something to prove now.
Had no trouble in justifying favouritism for Nigel Twiston-Davies at Newcastle last month. A half-brother to Ar Mad, he was backed to score there and leading claims today.
Regular trier but finds consistency hard to come by. Held by Gentleman Jon on their October clash at Wincanton.
Dual-scorer for Jeremy Scott early this year before making the switch to Ben Pauling, never a factor at Ascot on first start but entitled to come on for that run after a break.
More than a year since his one try at this discipline resulted in a fall at Huntingdon. Has been hurdling since but best watched for now.
Won at Huntingdon in January but four chase starts since have brought two non-completions and finished tailed-off on his most recent try at Ascot.
Has too many letters beside his name to fancy for Rebecca Curtis right now.
Scored around Stratford in May but struggled to replicate that effort since. Most recent effort came at the same venue in October resulting in a no-show.
Forecasts
Calett Mad (11/4), Fox Appeal (4/1), Sugar Baron (6/1), Daveron (8/1), How About It (14/1), Cernunnos (14/1), Go West Young Man (16/1), Milan Bound (16/1), Cadoudoff (16/1), Gallery Exhibition (20/1), Gentleman Jon (20/1), King Of The Wolds (25/1), Gone Too Far (33/1), Mont Royale (50/1), What A Laugh (66/1)
Nigel Twiston-Davies could have a smart prospect on his hands in CALETT MAD. He justified support at Newcastle on his latest outing and is open to more progress here. Jonjo O'Neill's runners have been going nicely and Milan Bound can get involved now back chasing. Gentleman Jon has enough to do off top weight but should run his race while Gone Too Far is interesting on his first outing for David Pipe.
1. Calett Mad
2. Milan Bound
3. Gone Too Far
