Winning jockey William Buick told Racing TV: "We were disappointed with him last time. Cheekpieces probably helped him a little bit – it was a good performance, very professional.
"He should improve. I mentioned the Melrose [Handicap, at York] afterwards - he will certainly get a mile and a half."

Winning rider Sam James told Racing TV: "I just needed someone to take me further – they took took me as far as they could go on my side – but it felt like the other side always slightly in front.
"He won very nicely at Redcar, we always thought he was a nice horse, and we probably got it wrong in the Chesham. He was the last one off the bridle but just weakened out of it late on. The drop back in trip was a benefit.
"He's a maturing horse who should get better with age, but at the minute he's showing enough speed to be able to travel well in behind them."

"He's improved for Ascot and I was confident I was going to turn the table on a few of them.

10 Time For Sandals - on toes and whilst she looks well enough, hasn’t got the same stand out quality of last year
13 Dickensian - small and compact, always presents the same, never jumps out
5 Lamborghini Bf - big strong muscular sort, on toes, okay but no better
6 Partisan Hero - big scopey sort, doesn’t look like a typical sprinter, in fair order
2 American Affair - has improved for fitness through the season but still not making huge appeal compared to last year
3 Jakajaro - always looks heavy set, fine for him
4 Jm Jungle - very laidback, sweated a little bit, still not quite at peak
8 Asfoora - no better than any runs this year, quite subdued

Winning rider Callum Rodriguez told ITV Racing: "It was messy but we looked a great chance and then I was worried about the draw.
"It probably did us a favour as we got a s good smooth trip round, he felt good at every stage.
"The stiff straight mile at Ascot probably doesn't play to his strengths. He's exuberant and the pace today helped him."

"The plan went to perfection, I knew Billy [Loughnane] would go forward, so I just got my lad in a nice rhythm.
