1530 Redcar

1805 Ayr

Pair of Savannas has been a very slow learner and showed nothing early on. She’s been improving a bit – which she needed to – and the Racing UK HD On Sky 426 Selling Stakes a Redcar is low grade stuff so I hope she might go ok.

I Was Only Joking had a few minor problems but we’ve got her back moving right now and are happy with her at home. Any rain before the Celebrate The Life Of Ann Allport Median Auction Maiden Stakes would help.

Showers would be a boost for International Man too in the DFDS World's Best Ferry Operator Handicap. The step up in trip helped him open his account at York last time even though we weren’t convinced he’d stay but he got it well in the end. He’ll be competitive again.

Knowing Glance is a horse I like an awful lot. He completely boiled over at Haydock last time and we don’t know why. He’s a grand horse and working very well ahead of the Market Cross Jewellers Handicap.

Maggies Angel is a twilight horse and finding it difficult to win. We’re stepping her up to a mile for the Smarkets/British EBF Dick Hern Stakes at Haydock. We’re not sure it’s what she wants but there are very few races for her and it’s worth a try.

Gabrial doesn’t win many races but always runs well. He’s an absolute star of a horse. He goes in the Smarkets Betting Exchange Rose Of Lancaster Stakes and is another who would appreciate any rain. It would be wonderful to see him get his head in front again.

Inviolable Spirit steps up in class Bet toteswinger At totesport.com Handicap at Chelmsford. He’s been running well in defeat but creeping up the handicap as a result. I’d settle for a place in this though as it looks warm enough.

I thought Gallipoli ran well in the International at Ascot last time. The blinkers helped him there and it was good, solid performance. If he brought that form to the table in the BBAG Germany's Yearling Sales Handicap at Newmarket he’d have a chance.

Absolute Dream runs in the QTS In The Community EBF Novice Stakes at Ayr. He didn’t stay seven furlongs at York last time and the switch back to six here will suit him.

Khelman is completely out of form but is very well handicapped as a result. If back anywhere near his best he’d go close in the QTS Investors In Sport Handicap but rain would help.

I thought the handicapper was very tough on Royal Connoisseur when putting him up eight pounds for winning at Wolverhampton. He struggled from his new mark back there last time but we’ll try again in the Gas Sure & James Frew Handicap.
