Arsenal have launched an unlikely bid to try and sign Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona according to Saturday's papers.

DAILY MIRROR

  • Harry Maguire will earn £190,000-a-week at Manchester United after an £80m fee was agreed with Leicester City.
  • Crystal Palace are expected to make a second attempt to land Brentford striker Ollie Watkins after an initial £11m bid was rejected.
  • Palace are leading the race to try and sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea, but will have to fight off competition from West Brom and Burnley.
  • Despite a £20m swoop for Adam Webster, Brighton are intent on keeping centre-back Lewis Dunk.
  • Sheffield United are keen on signing Leicester defender Daniel Amartey.
