Saturday's race by race guide to the £100,000 ITV7

There's £100,000 on offer in this weekend's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races, featuring four at Cheltenham.

13:50 Cheltenham - BetVictor Smartcards Handicap Chase (Grade 3) (Class 1)

With ground as testing as it is at Cheltenham, this race has cut up significantly. Ramses De Teillee has significant weight on his back for these conditions and therefore the selection is ACHILLE. A known mudlark, Venetia Williams' charge runs off a feather-weight here and could just get away on the front end.

14:10 Lingfield - British Stallion Studs EBF Gillies Fillies' Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)

Scentasia possibly has something to prove over the 10-furlong trip and is likely to be heavily supported with Frankie on board. It may, however, pay to look at a bigger price horse as no favourite has won this race in 10 years. Hulcote ran a cracker when second at Bath in a similar contest but the selection is CROTCHET who has good all-weather form and was runner-up to a nice type at Dundalk.

14:25 Cheltenham - BetVictor Gold Cup Handicap Chase (Grade 3) (Class 1)

As ever, highly competitive stuff for the £90,032 first prize. This renewal could go to MAGIC SAINT who is lightly raced and has been tried in better company than this. He has French form on very soft and heavy ground so will relish underfoot conditions. Slate House and the extremely game Siruh Du Lac make up the shortlist.

14:45 Lingfield - Betway Churchill Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)

This looks very much a penalty-kick for Cambridgeshire scorer LORD NORTH. He subsequently won a Listed contest with consummate ease so he looks a warm order for this; previous success on the all-weather is another factor. Crossed Baton may give the selection most to think about if he recovers from the issues he's had.

15:00 Cheltenham - Spinal Injuries Association Big Buck's Handicap Hurdle (Listed) (Class 1)

It's been four years since Vieux Lion Rouge went over hurdles and he's recognised as a dour chaser these days so it's an interesting move. TOBEFAIR has a strong record at Cheltenham and gets the vote, despite carrying top weight. He won't mind conditions either.

15:15 Betway Golden Rose Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)

Competitive stuff and some luck-in-running may be required. Of the two course and distance winners in the field CORINTHIA KNIGHT makes most appeal. Although his running in a handicap last time out was a touch disappointing, he can get the better of 2017 winner Gifted Master.

15:30 Cheltenham - BetVictor Intermediate Handicap Hurdle (Class 2)

Shanwalla rates as a fascinating runner and a market check in the morning will be interesting. He ran well when third last time out over in Ireland and this rates as a big leap in class. REMASTERED is the selection, though, as he will enjoy the ground and has some good back-form including a defeat of Kateson.
