Peter Wright accepts he might be changing his darts too much after his shock World Championship exit

Peter Wright accepts he might be changing his darts too much and insists if he finds a set to stick with then his rivals are "all in trouble".

The 2014 runner-up and number three seed suffered a shock exit at the hands of Toni Alcinas in the second round of the World Darts Championship on Sunday night although many felt he was vulnerable given his indifferent recent form.

Snakebite, who reached the final of both the Champions League of Darts and World Grand Prix during a promising start to the winter, never really got going against the Spanish underdog and once again questions were asked about his persistent changing of darts.

Wright told www.pdc.tv: "Obviously I'm gutted to be out. I actually felt better than I have all year to be honest but it wasn't to be and Toni took out the right finishes at the right time, that's how it goes in set play sometimes.

"Maybe some of the commentators are right, maybe I am changing my darts too much but the darts I used on Sunday are the best I've held in my hand so I'm going to stick with them and bounce back next year.

"If I stick with one set of darts they're all in trouble. I've still got the confidence and I'm looking forward to the next game already."
