Darts results: Phil Taylor wins four of his five matches as a guest at the MODUS A Night At The Darts

Phil Taylor rolled back the years during a guest appearance at the MODUS A Night At The Darts by winning four of his five matches.

The 16-time world champion replaced David Evans, who was sitting second in the weekly table behind veteran Martin Adams after Wednesday's action, but the scorelines of his fixtures against 'Wolfie', Scott Mitchell, Wessel Nijman, Jason Askew and Boris Koltsov would not affect the tournament standings.

Nevertheless, Taylor was still out to impress his army of supporters having lost his recent online charity battle with regular MODUS tournament participant Raymond van Barneveld and he certainly put on a series of impressive displays.

Taylor opened up with a 4-2 victory over former BDO world champion Mitchell, in which he averaged 94, and then needed to up the ante with a mark of 102.6 to see off Askew, who posted 101.6, 4-3 in a superb encounter.

Focus then turned to his first meeting with BDO legend Adams since the 2006 World Darts Trophy final, which Taylor won 7-2, and although neither player managed to perform to their best, it was the Power who triumphed 4-0 with an average of 89.

Taylor upped his game with a mark of 95 during a 4-2 victory over Dutch youngster Wessel Nijman although Russia's Boris Koltsov prevented him from claiming a clean sweep by edging the legend 4-3.

A Night At The Darts is an online tournament that is running in conjunction with the MODUS Icons of Darts League, which takes place every afternoon and also features six players each week including Sporting Life columnist Paul Nicholson.
