The Flying Scotsman sent social media into a frenzy last month when revealing that his internet connection was too slow to take part in the innovative online tournament, which was set up to give fans some much-needed live sport to watch and to give its players vital match practice during lockdown.
The picture he posted on Twitter of his dodgy internet speed received a whopping 15k likes as the world reacted in hilarity to the type of 'news' stories that were now dominating the sporting landscape.

Several weeks later, with the 32-night Home Tour now well under way, Anderson now has a new internet provider - Truespeed - after the likes of Virgin, Sky and BT all offered their services to help, and it looks like he'll be able to compete next week.
The popular two-time world champion, who is based in a rural location in the South West of England, also required a signal booster box to ensure the WiFi was strong enough to reach the darts 'out-house' 45 feet from his living space.
Anderson will enter the event on Saturday May 16, and competes alongside Belgian duo Dimitri Van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts and Dutchman Dirk van Duijvenbode.
PDC chairman Barry Hearn was quoted in Sun Sport: "Gary Anderson is going to play in the PDC Home Tour series as his WiFi has been sorted! He will make a very special appearance. I don’t know what he has to do but it sounds like he has now built a technological centre of WiFi excellence!
"The event has been on TV all over the world. It’s the only live sport out there and it’s brilliant entertainment. Our Darts at Home series has done really well because it’s watchable and people think ‘Thank God, it’s something live. I can have a fiver on that’.”
Daryl Gurney's internet speed remains too slow to compete while Michael van Gerwen hasn't entered due to having a new born baby in the house.
The Amazing @theTRUESPEED has got us up & running with fast fibre. Thanks will & everyone involved only took less than a week, great service! Thank you! pic.twitter.com/vntfjIg4Az
