Verdict

UNCLE PAT looked suited by the increased stamina test when second in the Grand National Trial at Punchestown last month and it's interesting that Paul Townend seemingly prefers him to the other Willie Mullins runner Fishery Lane, who caught the eye at Leopardstown recently and should also have a big say if seeing out the significantly longer trip. Rexem has shaped well in a couple of Musselburgh handicaps this year and is shortlisted along with St Denis's Well for last year's winning yard.

  1. UNCLE PAT (IRE)
  2. FISHERY LANE (FR)
  3. REXEM (IRE)
