Verdict

POWERFUL found a finishing effort to match the way he went through the race when scoring at Punchestown last month and looks well worth keeping on side from a 7 lb higher mark, especially as the nature of a big-field handicap is likely to suit him to a tee. Spinola Bay overcame a late scare in good style at Navan recently and can go on improving, with Bannow Blaze completing the shortlist.
