Verdict

Plenty are in with a shout but Michael Bell's DUKE OF OXFORD looks primed for a bold showing after returning from four months off with an encouraging C&D fifth so is taken to complete a hat-trick of wins in this event. Hughie Morrison's Caprelo wasn't seen to ideal effect when 16th in Newmarket's Cesarewitch last time and could prove the biggest danger, although fellow C&D scorer Sheradann can play a part along with Zoran, Enemy and Another Run. Francesco Baracca completes the shortlist.
