Indeed, Ruth Carr's charge was a decisive winner of back-to-back Pontefract handicaps prior to that and is taken to exploit this favourable mark (due to go up 6 lb). A line can be drawn through John Kirkup's reappearance spin and he could be the one for the forecast. Manila Scouse has been absent for 18 months but is worth a second look all the same.
