Verdict

A competitive opener in which CAPLA SPIRIT is taken to snap a lengthy losing sequence now down to a career-low mark. The usual blinkers go back on and Gay Kelleway's charge looks set to go well. Strike Me A Pose is sure to be popular after his recent success at Wolverhampton so he's second choice, ahead of Mayelf, who is proving expensive to follow and first-time cheekpieces go on today.

  3. MAYELF
