Verdict

A tremendous servant to connections, ASO found things coming easier to him having a first foray into veterans' company when beaten only by a resurgent Blaklion (won easily again since) at Haydock early last month and he may well be up to conceding weight all round at this slightly shorter trip. Warwick-scorer Final Nudge rates next best, ahead of The Kings Writ and last year's third Sir Ivan.
