Verdict

A case can be made for all of these, but Paul Nicholls took this contest 12 months ago and his FIDELIO VALLIS is fancied to put his chasing experience to excellent use and make it five wins on the spin. Captain Tom Cat saw his own winning spree ended when fifth in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen but he emerged with plenty of credit and is feared most along with chasing debutant Tea Clipper.

  1. FIDELIO VALLIS (FR)
  2. CAPTAIN TOM CAT (IRE)
  3. TEA CLIPPER (IRE)
