A case can be made for several of these but much the most persuasive one is for Roger Varian's BOOMSHALAA who has yet to take a backward step in his four runs and can gain compensation for his narrow Royal Ascot reverse before tackling pattern company. Popmaster also has better days ahead of him so is next on the list, with hat-trick seeking Akkeringa another who warrants plenty of respect.
