Verdict

Having run out the cosy winner of a hot 7f 3-y-o race at last year's Leger meeting, HAQEEQY appeals as the type to make his mark in top-end handicaps this term so he gets the nod with a talented apprentice taking 7 lb off. Charlie Appleby has a very good recent record in this so Eastern World rates a big danger after his Meydan win. River Nymph and, at bigger odds, Orbaan are also shortlisted.

  1. HAQEEQY (IRE)
  2. EASTERN WORLD (IRE)
  3. RIVER NYMPH
