Invincible Army was an authoritative winner of last year's Chipchase Stakes, so it could pay to 'row-in' with a horse who has solid related form lines with that aforementioned individual. Kevin Ryan's MAJOR JUMBO is a pacy type who could prove best suited to making the switch back to the AW (early career form figures of 1212). After a perfectly respectable seasonal reappearance third (Judicial second) in the 5f Palace House Stakes at Newmarket, he appeals as a value-based alternative to the upwardly mobile recent C&D winner Mubakker. Of the others, his top-rated stablemate Brando didn't do himself any favours with a tardy break from the stalls in the Abernant.
