Verdict

The filly AMPNEY RED showed up well for a long way on first start for this yard when close-up fifth at Newcastle on the all-weather early in the month having forced the running. Her previous experiences on turf have come on testing ground and, having run well either side of changing stables; she may make take advantage of a 1lb lower turf rating to get on the board now. The main dangers could be Cold Light Of Day and Handsome Yank, while Philosophical offered something to work with in a far stronger Haydock race a fortnight ago and could be one for place money.
  1. Ampney Red
  2. Cold Light Of Day
  3. Handsome Yank
