The first of a pair of races for 3-y-o newcomers, and therefore a minefield for punters without market clues. Those who make most appeal based on pedigree and sales info are SATIN AND SILK, Eldama and Amiko Chow. The former is superbly bred and cost 900,000 gns, so stands out, for all the fitting of blinkers for debut could be construed as a negative. Eldama is one of two well-bred sorts representing Dermot Weld, and appears the better fancied on paper, while Ger Lyons newcomers rarely lack for know-how, so Amiko Chow ought to be forward despite a rather less regal pedigree.
