However, he isn't the easiest of horses to win with nowadays and the suspicion is that the Venetia Williams-trained COMMODORE will seek to take a firm grasp on this small-field affair from the outset, making the most of a slowly easing handicap mark (admittedly still 8lb above his last winning mark).
