Verdict

A race that has a good record for those at the head of the market with the favourites winning five of the last seven renewals including the last three contests. It could well be tight for who goes off favourite here but there was a lot to like about the debut win of TWO FOR GOLD at Carlisle and he should appreciate this stiffer test. Aye Right making his chasing debut after already shaping well over hurdles this year is the main danger and if he repeats his fast and fluent hurdling over fences, he should be worth watching. Coole Hall took a step in the right direction at Wetherby against two superior rivals while Cairnshill isn’t written off despite having a tough task at the weights.
