Verdict

Venetia Williams won this race 12 months ago with the useful Yala Enki and COMMODORE can repeat the feat. The seven-year-old looked one to stay on the right side of when winning both chase starts last season and he appears best fresh so today is probably the best time to catch him. Lightly-raced Arthur's Gift looks likely to still have his best days ahead and although he was underwhelming on return there is every chance he can now come forward to show his best form again. After almost a year off I Just Know was entitled to have needed his last run; he could leave that well behind now back over fences.
